A convenient travel pocket-size brush. Fitted in a metal body complete with protective cap (that becomes the handle), this brush is ideal for outdoor sketching.
Scepter Gold II is a perfect combination, giving a performance close to sable at a price close to synthetic. The Sable hair has excellent spring, whilst the high quality synthetic filaments ensure the brushes are soft enough to work the color but with a strong snap to return to the original shape. W&N Sceptre Gold II Booklet
The high proportion of sable in Sceptre Gold II gives the brushes the ability to create larger washes in one stroke than normal synthetic brushes; the hairs are tapered to a fine point, giving the brush control for detailed work.
