Developed for restoration and manual application, Epoxy Wood is a 100% pure epoxy resin without fillers or colorants, making it a more versatile alternative to Araldite 427. It is a two-component system in a 1:1 ratio (parts by weight or parts by volume). With the addition of cellulose fibers and powdered pigments, different shades and desired consistencies can be easily achieved. In its pure state, Epoxy Wood is ideal for filling deep and fine cracks. For exterior application in environments with temperature fluctuations; for molding and shaping – we suggest adding cellulose fibers from 5% to 40% by weight (the consistency of Araldite 427 is +40% cellulose fibers). For filling micro-cracks, galleries, or consolidating rotten wood, Epoxy Wood can be diluted to an injectable consistency. Fluidity is achieved by adding 5% pure alcohol by weight.
With a low density of 0.68g/ml and a hardness of 60-65 shore, Epoxy Wood perfectly combines the processability of wood with the great stability of epoxy resin. Its highly adhesive formula is suitable for most substrates, and is indicated for model making, restoration, and repair of edges and other critical areas in wood or resin.
Application method: We recommend adding, in parts by weight, the correct quantity of Part 1 to the same quantity, in parts by weight, of Part 2, mixing for 2-5 minutes until a homogeneous color is obtained; if necessary, add a mineral or cellulose filler. CONSULT TECHNICAL DATA SHEET. If you are looking for a smaller quantity, we suggest Liberon Epoxy Bitumen.
